Alterations are a specialty at Donna's Stitchery. Be it ski pants, Levi hemming, or altering and re-fitting wedding and formal wear. Donna's Stitchery is your shop when in Truckee. Home decorations such as pillows, cushion covers for window seats, valances and duvet bed cover with zippers and bed skirts can be created.

Donna's stitchery carries a wide variety of fabrics that are ideal for quilting, crafting and home decorations. available are a broad supply of general sewing notions for all sewing needs. Fabric lines include a great assortment of Asian prints, baby motif in flannels, and Minkee (great for Baby Blankets and gifts. A wide assortment of Mountain theme Fabrics, reproduction fabrics from the 19th and early 20th century are also available.

Sewing Classes
Beginner sewing classes for adults and children are available on Saturdays and Sundays, please call to make a reservation. The Domestic Goddesses, a group of young women learning to sew meet every month. Please call to join in and schedule 530-587-6708
Tuxedo Rental By Selix
Looking to rent a tux at Tahoe? Donna's Stitchery rents tuxs throughout Tahoe City, Truckee, and the North and West shores of Lake Tahoe. Tuxedo Rentals for prom, wedding and individual parties are supplied by Selix, visit www.selix.com for available tuxedo styles at Donna's stitchery. Prices for tuxedo rentals generally fall between $80 to $150. Full tuxedo packages are available for rental or purchase, including accessories: bow ties, formal jewelry, suspenders, and shirts with wing tip or spread collar. Tuxedo items can be special ordered in advance.

July 18-19, 2009 - Quilt Show - Reno, Truckee Meadows Quilt Guild is to be held at Art Town Reno. Donna will be giving a product demonstration Sunday July 19 at 2:00 P.M. New products include bamboo quilt batting and pillow forms, creative grids circle cuttings, with the use of spray starch for Circle Play. Origami fabric folding of flowers and Asian kimono. with our times of cutting back we can learn to make our own clothing, and we have classes and patterns to help!
Sunday August 16, 2009 Shed Party - Backyard Fabric Sale and Stampin' Up card making class will be held by AUNTIE JOAN'S STAMPING, demonstrated by Veronica Cannon. For $5 you will learn to make 2 card patterns and take home cards you make!!
